Recipes
Italian Meatball Sandwich
- 16 DiRusso's 1 oz. Italian Style Meatballs
- 1 quart marinara sauce
- 4 Italian buns (6 inches long), split half way
In saucepan, heat sauce. Add meatballs, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring often. Place 4 meatballs in bun and spoon on sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Serves 4.
Meatball Casserole
- 30 16 DiRusso's 1 oz. Italian Style Meatballs, defrosted
- 4 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 green bell peppers, cute in 1/2 inch strips
- 2 onions, cut in 1/2 inch strips
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- 1 jar (24 oz.) marinara sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup. fresh parsley
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 8 oz. (2 cups) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Romano cheese
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Heat oil in frying pan. Add peppers, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until tender. In casserole, layer meatballs, peppers, onions and half of each cheese. Combine marinara sauce, water and seasonings and ladle over all. Top with remaining cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Serves 12.
Preparation Methods
Microwave: Just heat and serve. Place 6 meatballs on a plate and microwave for 1 minute. Turn the meatballs and microwave for an additional minute.
Stove Top: Heat on stove top in your favorite sauce. Bring sauce to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes until product is 165°F internally.
Oven: Preheat Oven to 250°F. Place meatballs on a cookie sheet. Cook for 15 minutes. Turn Meatballs over and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
